Hi & welcome,

I’m Lisette, the wife and mum behind Hickory Dickory Rock. I share my life with a wonderful husband who is very supportive of this venture, a giggly little daughter named Isla and a clumsy black Labrador called Angus. Our home is full of laughter, love and a little bit of chaos as we journey through our first year of parenthood.

After purchasing a long list of baby items in preparation for our daughter’s arrival I sought an affordable, stylish and versatile nursing chair for our nursery. I discovered the Ikea Strandmon Wingback Armchair, as have many mums before me. Wanting something with a rocking or gliding function I worked with a local craftsperson to convert it into a rocking chair.

My daughter and I are delighted with how comfortable it is. The rocking chair features:

a wingback design to rest your weary head;
rolled armrests to support a good feeding/nursing position;
a deep seat that is large enough for long reading sessions with young children; and
a gentle rocking function to help your little one drift off to sleep.

Best of all, with the Hickory Dickory Rock kit you can convert it back to a standard armchair for your living room when your little ones grow up.

With a little encouragement from my hubby I launched Hickory Dickory Rock in 2016 with a dream to provide my rocking chair conversion kit to others. We are now crafting the rocking chair kit locally in Perth, Western Australia. Each item is checked over and finished to the utmost highest quality and we are very proud of what we create.

It excites me to see how my customers style their Strandmon rocker and nursery...the possibilities are endless.
